People search for counsellors for all sorts of reasons, and all of them valid. While the support of friends or family may be available or sufficient for some, there are times in life when it is invaluable to talk to someone objective, who is professionally trained to help.
Supervision
If you belong to a professional body you are required to have supervision. I am a member of BACP, British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy.
