My practice in Muswell Hill (N10) is easily reached from Highgate Station (Northern Line) and by buses from Archway, Highgate, Finsbury Park, Hornsey, Finchley and Friern Barnet.

I counsel individuals, including children, young people and adults and have been doing so for more than thirteen years. In addition to talk therapy (mostly used by my adult clients) I also use art and role play. In addition, for those who are interested, I offer therapeutic play, and incorporate paint, clay, crafts, puppets or sand and small items for mini world creations. Children are very much drawn to me and my friendly nature. Adults find me patient, compassionate and down to earth.

I welcome children, young people and adults into my practice. I have a long history of working with children and young people in bereavement services, schools, community projects and charities. I am also experienced at working with adults on a wide range of issues, including: loss and bereavement, relationships, health and disability, self esteem, bullying, anger and childhood trauma.

As a person centred counsellor, I strive to provide a space where my clients feel respected and valued while they explore their challenges and other issues which hold them back from living the life they want. I believe counselling is a collaborative and creative process. I create a sense of equality and trust in the therapeutic relationship, whether this is for a few week or many month contract.

I am an accredited counsellor with the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) and work to their Code of Ethics.

I am a qualified and experienced supervisor working in Muswell Hill, N10.

Trained in integrative supervision (Minster Centre), I am person-centred in practice, with a strong dose of creativity and some influence from a psychodynamic approach.

Supervision can be both exciting and challenging as you consider your client and your own work from different perspectives. I support counsellors to gain greater insight into their clients' lives as they explore and reflect on their counselling style and relationship with their clients.

In supervision, I work in a collaborative and creative way, supporting counsellors to improve and develop their skills and abilities within their therapeutic relationship with their clients. I believe that we all learn by example, and aim to create a welcoming, non-judgmental and confidential space. As your supervisor, I hope you will feel respected, safe and confident to bring all manner of issues about your counselling work, including what isn't going well, to our sessions.

I provide confidential, face-to-face, one-to-one and group supervision to counsellors who subscribe to a variety of different models, who are at different stages of their counselling development (trainees, newly accredited, experienced) and who work with different age groups (children, young people and adults).

I am also the Manager of Caris Islington Bereavement Service where I supervise counsellors working with both adults and children. I began at Caris more than 10 years ago as a volunteer counsellor of adults. Recognising the need for a bereavement service for children, I initiated the development of Rucksack the children’s bereavement service. This service has grown to include The Basement for teenagers.

Augene is based in North London (Muswell Hill, N10).

Muswell Hill Practice: nearest tube station is Highgate (Northern Line). It is also easily accessible by bus. Buses 43 and 134 stop outside. These connect with 102, 234, 299 and W7 buses at Muswell Hill Broadway. Car parking is free, but limited.

Fee for counselling or supervision:

Counselling:
Day time sessions (before 5pm): £55 per session for 50 minutes.
Evening sessions (after 5pm): £65 per session for 50 minutes.

Individual supervision:
Day time sessions (before 5pm):
£55 per 50 minute session
£66 per one hour session

Evening sessions (after 5pm):
£65 per 50 minute session
£76 per 60 minute session

Group supervision: fee varies according to group size.

A concessionary rate may be available.

Payment: : by cash or cheque at the end of each session; by bank transfer day before the session.
If you require a monthly invoice, there will be a £10 administrative cost per invoice.
